Start with the processes
The most common mistake is choosing the system based on vendor demonstrations. The choice should stem from the company's processes: how it sells, buys, produces, and invoices, and where the biggest problems are today.
Compare with real scenarios
Ask each vendor to demonstrate three or four concrete scenarios of your business, using your own data. That is where the differences between solutions that seem identical on paper become apparent.
Account for the total cost
Licenses are only one part. Implementation, training, integrations, and maintenance weigh more over five years. A clear set of specifications and a contract with delivery milestones protect the company.
