Artificial intelligence is already within reach for small and medium-sized enterprises. The risk is starting with the tool instead of starting with the problem.

First the data, then the intelligence

No artificial intelligence model compensates for disorganized data. Before any project, it is worth understanding where the company's data is, who maintains it, and how reliable it is. In many cases, half the gain is simply in gathering information that currently lives in separate spreadsheets.

Use cases with fast returns

The projects with the best return in SMEs are usually modest: automatic classification of invoices and emails, sales forecasting to plan purchases, and customer service support with suggested responses. These are projects of weeks, not years, and they show results before asking for more investment.

Beware of dependency

Choose solutions that you can replace and ensure that the data stays within the company. European artificial intelligence regulation also brings transparency obligations that are worth knowing from the start.
